Blood sacrifice . . .

. . . is still practiced here. This past Saturday I went out with Sandip, Yamuna and Sangita, part of my expanding Nepali family, to a Kali temple, where we could witness the ritual slaughter of what appeared to be mostly goats and chickens. Below a chicken loses its head.
